I've put together an easy program for you to get beach ready, life ready, or just simply stay ready to keep from getting ready. My goal for you is health, the fitness and physique is bonus! First we’ll jump start our challenge with a detox and slim down using yummy, easy to make smoothies and cardio, then well dive right into our strength training and clean eating  protein based meals to tone, lean, and feel  our  best,  inside and out!  You will only need: a set of 3 to 10 pound dumbbells, a mat, and a blender!

about Tyra

Tyra Underwood CPT, BSN, RN is the lady behind VINOfit by Tyra. She is one of Houston’s leading health and fitness experts. She has been a health and fitness expert for over 10 years but, her journey started much before that. 

Her first passion as a competitive athlete put her in position to deliver advice about exercising and healthy food choices to friends and family. As she continued to nurture her new fitness relationships and increase her knowledge and training, the medical pathway opened up for her and she became a Registered Nurse.  And just as before Tyra,  became the “go-to” person for all those around her for health advice and suggestions. After eight years of practicing as an Intensive Care (I.C.U.) registered nurse and spending most of her free time both helping others reach fitness goals and competing in fitness competitions herself, Tyra quickly adapted a desire to keep improving and had a profound desire and gift to push those around her to do the same. This passion and gift propelled a new but familiar journey, HEALTH and FITNESS.  She validated and expanded her fitness knowledge by obtaining her national personal training certification.  She then combined her education and passion of health and fitness with her medical knowledge to create a unique, innovative, and result oriented training experience for you.

VINOfit by Tyra was launched with the goal of creating life solutions for people through health, fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle choices.  VINOfit by Tyra is more than just sweat.  It is a scientific training that helps people reach and exceed personal health goals. Each week through personal training and small group training,  Tyra empowers individuals to define and reach their individual goals. VINOfit by Tyra will help you lose weight, build lean muscle and/or simply maintain an active and balanced lifestyle. VINOfit is the concept that with exercise and living well, YOU…. like “VINO” or wine, get better with time.   

Tyra currently holds both a National personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sport Medicine (NASM) and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN, RN).  She is a certified group fitness instructor plus she maintains certifications by American Heart Association (AHA)  in Basic life support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
